The New York Police Department has released surveillance video of a suspect wanted for a daring burglary.
Police say the suspect began casing an armored vehicle at a stop near Sixth Avenue and W. 48th St around 4:30 p.m. on September 29. Later, the suspect walked up and stole a 90-pound bucket of gold flakes right off the truck while the guards were making another pickup.
That’s right — in broad daylight in busy Midtown Manhattan, he looked both ways, reached into an armored van, and walked off with a five-gallon bucket worth $1.6 million!
You read that date right. The thief, whoever he is, has had some time to get used to being a millionaire. (Or to get away.)

Authorities say the suspect is a Hispanic male, about 5’6″ tall and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing what’s in this video.
